WASHINGTON — Single 26-year-old. Tall, dark, handsome. Looking for love. In Search Of: a wife.
WTOP’s Chris Cichon (pronounced Chee-on) wants to be TV’s next “bachelor.” Cichon will be among “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” hopefuls at Thursday night’s casting call for the hit ABC show “The Bachelor” at Maryland Live! Casino.
“The single game is tougher than I anticipated,” says Cichon, who works behind the scenes at WTOP.
Cichon says friends challenged him to try out for the show and it’s been a great motivator.
“I’ve been working out a lot,” he says.
“Alright Chris, why don’t you start drinking more water. Your skin will look nicer. Why don’t you start trying to eat a little bit healthier. Your body will look nicer. You’ll look better and tighter in that suit,” he told himself when deciding to try out for the show.
Cichon loves sports and going to football and baseball games. He describes himself as a go-getter with a strong work ethic. He wants a partner with whom he can grow. And he is ready to start sharing experiences with a woman who eventually will become his wife.
An ideal first date for Cichon is an intimate dinner and long walk. He especially likes the interactive food experience and opportunity to talk with a date at a place such as The Melting Pot.
Cichon is a lean 6-foot-4. He doesn’t have a “type” of woman he prefers in the looks department, but he wants someone who’s aware of what’s going on in the world.
“I do like a woman who definitely keeps up with current events.”
Cichon says he’s grown to love ‘the news’ while working at WTOP. He wants someone “who cares what’s going on around them and not just about what their job is every day and then going home and cooking dinner.”
The fun gets started at 5 p.m. Thursday. Cichon will be live tweeting @TheBigCheeShow as the evening progresses.
